1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the JaneX website located at janex.io and its related services (collectively, the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use our Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and JaneX ("we", "our", or "us").

2. Description of Service
JaneX provides a collection of free online utility tools and services, including but not limited to:
- CV/Resume Generator - Create professional CVs and resumes
- Invoice Generator - Create professional PDF invoices
- QR Code Generator - Generate QR codes for various purposes
- Password Generator - Generate secure passwords
- Base64 Encoder/Decoder - Encode and decode Base64 data
Our Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
3. Use License and Restrictions
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use our Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
3.1 Permitted Uses

- Use our tools to create documents, codes, and other content for personal or business purposes
- Download and use generated content (PDFs, images, etc.) for lawful purposes
- Access and view our website and services through standard web browsers

You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
- Infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the rights of others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of our Service

You are solely responsible for all content, data, and information you input, create, or generate using our Service ("User Content"). You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to use and authorize the use of your User Content
- Your User Content does not infringe upon the rights of any third party
- Your User Content is accurate, truthful, and not misleading
- Your User Content complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- Your User Content does not contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful components
4.2 Content Ownership
You retain all ownership rights to the content you create using our Service. However, by using our Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Process and display your User Content as necessary to provide the Service
- Use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and service improvement
4.3 Content Storage
User Content is stored locally in your web browser using localStorage and sessionStorage. We do not store your User Content on our servers. You are responsible for:
- Backing up your User Content
- Maintaining copies of important documents and data
- Understanding that clearing your browser data will delete locally stored content
5. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, logos, trademarks, and software, is owned by JaneX and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved by JaneX and its licensors. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service
- Use our trademarks, logos, or brand names without our prior written consent
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the Service
- Create derivative works based on the Service

- WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES
- WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR QUALITY OF THE SERVICE
- WARRANTIES THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED
We do not warrant or guarantee that:
- The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations
- The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
- The quality of any products, services, or information obtained through the Service will meet your expectations
- Any errors or defects in the Service will be corrected

9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JANEX, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT OR CONTENT ON THE SERVICE
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, ERRORS, OR OMISSIONS
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US (IF ANY) FOR ACCESSING THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JaneX, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of and access to the Service
- Your violation of any term of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right
- Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Service.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your engagement in fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities
- At our sole discretion, for any other reason we deem necessary
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
- All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability
You may discontinue using the Service at any time by simply ceasing to access it.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will:

- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Provide notice through our Service (for significant changes)
- Provide at least 30 days' notice for material changes (where required by law)
Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Moldova, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If you are located in the European Union, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence.
13.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through the following process:
- Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first at hi@janex.io to attempt to resolve any dispute informally.
- Mediation: If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes may be resolved through mediation in accordance with the rules of a recognized mediation service.
- Arbitration or Litigation: If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the Republic of Moldova, as applicable.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
The invalid or unenforceable provision will be replaced with a valid provision that comes closest to the intent of the original provision.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published on our Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and JaneX regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, and agreements, whether oral or written, between you and JaneX.
No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.
16. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent. Any attempt to assign or transfer these Terms without such consent will be null and void.
We may freely assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction. Subject to the foregoing, these Terms will bind and inure to the benefit of the parties, their successors, and permitted assigns.
